I am a licensed clinical social worker with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from University of California, Santa Cruz, and a Master of Social Work degree from Portland State University. Over the past 11 years, I have dedicated myself to assisting youth, adults, and families through my work with mental health agencies, crisis hotlines, schools, and special education systems. I am committed to offering supportive counseling services to youth, adults, couples and families in the Portland community through my private practice.

Providing a calm, supportive, patient, accepting, and humorous presence is what I bring to the therapeutic environment. I believe in the importance of joining clients at their level of readiness to change and collaborating to establish goals for therapy. I value people as their own best expert, and know that at times they may need the support of a therapeutic relationship to regain the connection with themselves and their own wisdom. My focus includes fostering clients’ strengths and self-acceptance to effect desired change and enhance overall well-being.

As a way of allowing us to maintain control of the counseling process and direction of therapy, I do not accept insurance or third-party payment. Arrangements for an initial consultation at no cost can be made to ensure that we are comfortable working together. Typically, I offer 50 minute sessions at a rate of $75.00 per session. If special financial circumstances exist, I am willing to discuss a sliding fee scale.
